Wednesday, February 26 2020 NHL Schedule, Betting Odds, Picks

Buffalo Sabres at Colorado Avalanche -210, 6 (NBCSN, SN)

The resurgent Sabres have won five of their last six but remain eight points out of a spot in the East for the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Brian has mentioned in previous episodes that the Avs are his pick to hoist Lord Stanley come June. This is a big number for the injury ravaged Avs. Brian leans over the total as does Cam. Cam says the Sabres deserve a look as the big dog.

Edmonton Oilers at Vegas Golden Knights -195, 6.5

Vegas has hot dice with six straight wins to take the lead in the Pacific Division and was considered a trade deadline winner. Connor McDavid is back for the Oil but they have lost three of their last four games. However, Edmonton is a playoff team getting a huge price here. Brian calls the high Vegas price “insane” and likes the over. Cam has a big pick on tonight’s side. Listen now to The Hockey Betting Podcast to get it.

Pittsburgh Penguins -200, 6 at Los Angeles Kings (NBCSN)

The last place Kings have burned it to the ground and have called up youngsters for seasoning. But the public Pens will carry an expensive price that may lead many to seek the puck lines. Pittsburgh is in the cooler with three straight losses. The guys are thinking Pens puck line. Cam expects Pittsburgh to explode out of their trance.

Thursday, February 27th 2020 NHL Schedule, Betting Odds, Picks

New York Rangers at Montreal Canadiens -132, 6 (TSN2, RDS)

The red-hot Rangers have won eight of their last nine and are just four points out of the final Eastern Conference spot for the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs. As Cam has mentioned on previous episodes, they also play their best hockey on the road. Bleu Blanc Rogue is only 13-15-6 at home and has dropped six of their last eight overall. Is the wrong team favoured? Cam comes out fast and strong here. Listen to today’s episode to get the big NHL pick.

Chicago Blackhawks at Tampa Bay Lightning -225, 6.5

Puck lines with Tampa Bay could prove to be a popular play here. The Lighting may strike as they are in a foul mood after losing their last three games. Cam says Chicago is in big trouble here after TBL’s Tuesday home loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Toronto Maple Leafs -114, 6.5 at Florida Panthers

Two of the most skilled but gutless teams in hockey meet here. Over the total is on the minds of many as neither club asserts much effort on defence. Nor does either side have reliable goaltending. After being the object of ridicule for losing at home to a backup Zamboni driver fill-in goalie Saturday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs won at Tampa Bay 4-3 on Tuesday. Typical Toronto! But now what? Brian thinks the total should be seven for this game. The guys like the over, especially with Leafs defenceman Jake Muzzin out. The guys adamantly don’t trust either side.

Dallas Stars at Boston Bruins -177, 5.5 (NBCSN)

“Defence travels” and Dallas has plenty of it. Boston is very public and could be over-valued as the expensive home chalk. But the B’s have lost two in a row. Cam has a strong pick in this one. Listen to The Hockey Betting Podcast to get it.

Vancouver Canucks -157, 6.5 at Ottawa Senators

Ottawa has been a dangerous plucky pest as a home dog this season. But playoff bound Vancouver has won four of their last six. Brian asks if Vancouver is stepping into a trap door? Cam wants nothing to do with the side but likes over the total.

Minnesota Wild -200, 6 at Detroit Red Wings

Cam cracked hard on Minnesota for firing Bruce Boudreau on Friday’s episode (02/21/2020). And the Wild are the type of team that could flop at hapless Detroit. However, Minnesota is 3-1 since gassing the popular Boudreau. The Dead Wings are last in the NHL for goals scored, goals against, goal differential and points. Which of course means in hockey they could be quite dangerous at this price! Cam passes due to price but would consider the Wild puck line. The guys also lean over the total.

New York Islanders at St. Louis Blues -155

The Note has perked back up with five straight wins. Offence remains an Islander concern as NYI has lost five of their last seven. Cam expects the Isles to be focused after a Tuesday home loss to the Rangers.

Calgary Flames at Nashville Predators -134

The Preds have more firepower here and are tied for the last playoff spot in the West with five payouts in their last seven games. Is Calgary primed for a major letdown after Tuesday’s 5-2 win at Boston? Brian has caught the big Flames trend of 8-0-1 over the total in their last nine games. Cam says Nashville is a fraud but will stick with over the total only.

Washington Capitals -143 at Winnipeg Jets

Now that The Great Eight has his 700 goals will the Caps get back into gear? Washington cranks cash on the road with a mark of 21-9-1. The Jets have lost five of their last eight games. Washington beat the Jets 4-3 at home on Tuesday. Listen now to The Hockey Betting Podcast for a strong pick from Cam.

New Jersey Devils at San Jose Sharks -167

On the last several episodes Cam has touted the hidden value of the Devils, who have won in seven of their last ten games.  Cam is thinking under the total at the Shark Tank and says San Jose is far too expensive.
