The latest episode of The Hockey Betting Podcast has Brian Blessing and Cam Stewart discussing Monday’s NHL trade deadline and taking a look at games for Tuesday, February 25, 2020.  There is no commercial break in this episode.

The NHL trade deadline ended yesterday, and that directly affects the NHL odds going forward in the race for the 2020 Stanley Cup. Brian and Cam will connect the dots and get you ready for a massive Tuesday night card that features 13 games. Brian thinks Edmonton did really well at the trade deadline, while Cam believes Carolina made some good moves at the deadline. Brian and Cam also let you know which teams didn’t do well, and of course, each of them have their own rants.

Tuesday, February 25th 2020 NHL Schedule, Betting Odds, Picks

Calgary Flames at Boston Bruins -210, 6 under

Boston has steamrolled to eight wins in 10 games, but the puck lines may be the preferred method for backers of the Bruins. Brian points out that the Flames have been going over the total on a regular basis, and both Brian and Cam like this game over the total.

Vancouver Canucks at Montreal Canadiens -140, 6 over (TSN2, RDS)

The Canucks are a quality road dog in this spot against a Habs team that has lost five of their last seven and is just 13-15-5 on home ice. Cam thinks it is the Canucks or nothing in this one.

Toronto Maple Leafs at Tampa Bay Lightning -190, 7 under

Give credit to the Leafs for doing the impossible in making David Ayres a new historic figure in NHL annals. Apparently, Kyle “Dubious” Dubas and his analytics geeks forgot to create an algorithm for how to beat a 42-year-old beer league goalie. Tampa Bay backers may shop the puck line here, but Cam leans toward the Leafs.

New York Rangers at New York Islanders -135, 6 under

This one is a trip down memory lane with the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum as the venue for these hated arch rivals. Cam is looking at taking the plus money on the Rangers in this one. Listen to the latest episode of The Hockey Betting Podcast to get all of Brian and Cam’s picks.

San Jose Sharks at Philadelphia Flyers -235, 6

Once again, the puck lines could be in play here for a hot Flyers team that has won seven of their last 10 and is 21-5-4 on home ice. Brian is leery of taking the Flyers in this one.

Winnipeg Jets at Washington Capitals -200, 6.5

This is the first of a home and home series between these teams. Did the Caps stop the bleeding with their Sunday 5-3 win over Pittsburgh? Brian and Cam lean to the under in this one.

Dallas Stars at Carolina Hurricanes -110, 5.5

Carolina seeks revenge for a 4-1 loss at Dallas on February 11th and is 19-10-2 at home. The Hurricanes could have a letdown after their big win over Toronto, and Cam is on the Stars in this one.

New Jersey Devils -130, 5.5 at Detroit Red Wings

Cam’s Devils have won six of their last nine games and face a Dead Wings team that is 10-19-2 at home while dropping seven of their last 10 overall.

Chicago Blackhawks at St. Louis Blues -200, 6 (NBCSN)

This is still enough of a rivalry to consider taking the Blackhawks at the monster dog price. Brian and Cam are passing on this one.

Ottawa Senators at Nashville Predators -330, 6.5

Ottawa is 6-17-5 on the road, but the unreliable Nashville back end makes laying this whopping price irresponsible. Cam is looking at the Nashville puck line or playing the Predators in parlays.

Columbus Blue Jackets at Minnesota Wild -170, 5.5

Columbus is falling fast and is now in danger of missing the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs due to their inability to light the lamp. Can the unreliable Wild be trusted at this price? Brian and Cam are avoiding a side and taking this game over the total.

Florida Panthers at Arizona Coyotes -130, 6 over

This is a match-up of opposites. Florida tries to outscore opponents and takes the back check off while the Desert Dogs struggle to light the lamp. Both teams are fighting for the last playoff spot in their respective conferences. Listen to the latest episode of The Hockey Betting Podcast to get all of Brian and Cam’s picks.

Edmonton Oilers -150, 6 under at Anaheim Ducks

The Oil has played their best hockey on the road with a mark of 18-12-2. Anaheim has lost five of their last six and ranks 30th for goal scoring. Cam is taking the Oilers, while Brian is looking at taking this game over the total.
