January 22nd 2020 NHL Schedule and Betting Odds
Columbus Blue Jackets -195, 5.5 vs. Winnipeg Jets
Bettors are pounding the Blue Jackets in this game, as Columbus opened as a -150 favourite and the number is up to -195. The total has dropped from the opening number of 6 to 5.5. Brian and Cam talk a little bit about the moms joining the Jets for this road trip, and they point out that the moms’ trip is not anything like the dads’ trip. Cam is looking at taking a small shot on the Jets, while they both like this game to go over the total.
Minnesota Wild -270, 6 vs. Detroit Red Wings
No one wants anything to do with the Red Wings, as they have the worst record in the NHL and have dropped five in a row. The Wild opened as a -260 favourite and the number is up to -270. The Wild are coming off a bad loss where they gave away a game to Florida, while Detroit was blown out by Colorado. Brian thinks the loss to Florida could be a crushing loss for Minnesota, and he is leery of taking the Wild, but Cam thinks Minnesota will bounce back with a win on Wednesday night.
Brian and Cam will be back on Friday to give out some mid-season grades, and they will look at some betting opportunities for the second half of the 2019-2020 NHL regular season. They give listeners a little preview by talking about the Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday’s Hockey Betting Podcast.
