January 20th, 2020 NHL Schedule and Betting Odds
Colorado Avalanche -415, 6.5 vs. Detroit Red Wings
The Avalanche opened as a -350 favourite and bettors are pounding Colorado, as the Avalanche are now more than a 4-1 favourite. The Red Wings have lost four straight and have the worst record in the league, but this is a huge price on Colorado. Brian and Cam would play Colorado on the puck line on some parlays, and they are also considering the game to go over the total.
Minnesota Wild -110, 6 vs. Florida Panthers
The Wild opened as a -115 favourite and there has been a little money on the Panthers, as the number is down to -110. The Panthers are playing well right now having won four straight and bettors like Florida in this one. Brian is going against the public and taking Minnesota at home, while Cam leans toward Florida.
January 21st, 2020 NHL Schedule and Betting Odds
Carolina Hurricanes -165, 5.5 vs. Winnipeg Jets
The Jets have actually been better on the road this season than at home, so they could be a live dog in this one. Cam is backing the Jets as the road underdog in this game.
New York Islanders -125, 6 at New York Rangers
These teams will play for the third time in a week on Tuesday and the Islanders will be looking for revenge, as they were swept twice last week by the Rangers, losing 6-2 and 3-2. Brian and Cam expect a high scoring game so they are taking this contest over the total.
Boston Bruins -175, 6 vs. Vegas Golden Knights
The Bruins and Golden Knights have been treading water of late, but Boston is in first place in the Atlantic, while the Golden Knights are just a point out of first in the Pacific. Listen to The Hockey Betting Podcast to get Brian and Cam’s picks for this contest.
Pittsburgh Penguins -135, 6.5 at Philadelphia Flyers
The Penguins have won 7 of their last 10 and with Sidney Crosby back in the lineup they have moved into second place in the Metropolitan. Cam thinks the Penguins are the best story in the NHL so far this season, and he is on the Penguins in this contest.
Chicago Blackhawks -112, 6.5 vs. Florida Panthers
This is a tough spot for the Panthers, as they will be playing with no rest, having played at Minnesota on Monday. The Blackhawks have won five straight and they are just three points out of a playoff spot. Cam said he will be on Chicago in this one, especially if Florida wins at Minnesota on Monday night, while Brian likes the game to go over the total.
