Listen to the latest episode of The Hockey Betting Podcast to get all of Brian and Cam’s picks.

Friday, February 21, 2020 NHL Schedule, Betting Odds, Picks

New York Rangers at Carolina Panthers -170, 6.5

The Broadway Blueshirts have closed within six points of the final Eastern Conference spot for the 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs with five wins in their last six games. This match-up features the contrast of a productive New York goal scoring attack going up against the stout Carolina defence. Cam leans Rangers due to their strong performance as a road dog. He says the Broadway Blueshirts are underrated. The guys also like over the total.

Detroit Red Wings at New York Islanders -300, 5.5

This high price may send Islander backers to the puck lines. But even that could be problematic because the Isles have dropped five of their last seven as their lack of offence is catching up to them. Cam sees this as a bad spot for Detroit and likes the Isles puck line. But Brian has been making a lot of money on his profitable angle of going against teams playing their first home game after four or more on the road.

Nashville Predators -120, 6.5 at Chicago Blackhawks

Nashville has been a better play with the NHL odds on the road than at home. Chicago has dropped eight of their last 10 and is in the red at United Center this year. Cam is impressed with the improved Preds, but Brian thinks the Blackhawks will come out strong after a bad 6-3 Wednesday home loss to the Rangers.

St. Louis Blues at Dallas Stars -139, 5.5

The Note has a two-point lead over Dallas for first in the West and appears to have snapped out of a recent slump with two straight wins. But the Stars are in good form with five wins in their last six games. This has the look of tonight’s top game. Cam has a big pick in this one. Listen to today’s episode of The Hockey Betting Podcast to get this NHL pick with full analysis.

Boston Bruins -155, 5.5 at Calgary Flames (SN1)

Despite a -10-goal differential, Calgary is in a four-team brawl with Winnipeg, Arizona, and Vancouver for the final two 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs spots in the Western Conference. Boston leads the Eastern Conference and is steamrolling with nine wins in their last 10 games. Listen to The Hockey Betting Podcast now for a double play NHL pick on this match-up.

Minnesota Wild at Edmonton Oilers -115, 5.5

Connor McDavid remains out for the Oil, who have won four of their last six. On Wednesday’s episode (02/19/2020) of The Hockey Betting Podcast, Cam dropped the gloves and pounded hard on Minnesota for firing coach Bruce Boudreau. Brian and Cam both come strong on this match-up. Listen to The Hockey Betting Podcast for the double play.

Colorado Avalanche -165, 6 at Anaheim Ducks

Brian has a ticket on the Avs to win the 2020 Stanley Cup. Colorado remains the top goal scoring team in the NHL and has been a better value on the road than at home. Anaheim has dropped five of their last seven. Cam likes the Avalanche but not the price. He really prefers this game under the total.

Saturday, February 22, 2020 NHL Schedule, Betting Odds, Picks

Washington Capitals -215 at New Jersey Devils

Like many good NHL teams, the Caps play their best hockey on the road. However, Washington has recently had the look of last year’s team that suffered from a Stanley Cup hangover. On our last several episodes, Cam has raved about what a hidden gem New Jersey is. In fact, the Devils have beaten the NHL lines in five of their last eight games. The guys will take the puck line with Washington and really expect the Caps to bust out here.

Winnipeg Jets at Philadelphia Flyers -139 (NHL Network, SN)

The Flyers have climbed to fifth in the East with seven wins in their last 10 games. But the Jets are in ascent with six payouts in their last eight tilts. The guys agree on over the total, and Cam leans Flyers due to their recent form.

Buffalo Sabres at Pittsburgh Penguins -225

Poor Brian just can’t catch a break with his beloved Sabres, who are coming off a 7-4 loss at lowly Ottawa. Pittsburgh has won six of their last nine to climb to third in the East. Cam has a strong opinion and free pick on this one. Listen to The Hockey Betting Podcast now to get all the NHL picks.

Carolina Hurricanes at Toronto Maple Leafs -139 (CBC)

Cam’s epic rant against the “gutless” Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday’s episode (02/19/2020) of The Hockey Betting Podcast is not to be missed. Yet the Leafs remain in the thick of the Eastern Conference race for the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs. They are tied with the Hurricanes for the eighth and final slot. Cam advises caution but leans with an admitted “homer play” on the Leafs.

Montreal Canadiens -127 at Ottawa Senators (SN1)

On Wednesday’s episode (02/19/2020) the guys raved about the Sens work ethic despite their obvious lack of ability. Dangerous Ottawa has won three of their last five. The guys pass on this game especially since it could be affected by Monday’s NHL trade deadline.

San Jose Sharks at New York Rangers -180 (NHL Network)

The Sharks are next to last in the West for goal differential and face what could be an active trade deadline. Cam proclaims the Sharks as done but says the NYR price is way too high.

Tampa Bay Lightning -155 at Arizona Coyotes

The Desert Dogs are fighting for their playoff lives and are significantly out-gunned on scoring ability here. Arizona has dropped six of their last nine because of that lack of offence. The guys have very interesting takes on the Lightning for today’s episode. And they also have a huge NHL pick for this game. Listen now to The Hockey Betting Podcast to get all of the free NHL picks.

Columbus Blue Jackets at Nashville Predators -175

Speaking of lack of offence, CBJ is in that category but uses stingy defence to maintain hold of the sixth playoff spot in the East. But a seven-game losing streak could foretell doom for Columbus and firebrand coach John Tortorella. Cam passes here.

Boston Bruins -132 at Vancouver Canucks (CBC, SN)

Incredibly, it’s not at all inconceivable that these teams could meet in the 2020 Stanley Cup Final. With the recent addition of Tyler Toffoli, the Canucks have indicated that they are “All In!” The guys think the underdog Canucks are in a good spot here.

Florida Panthers at Vegas Golden Knights -182

Could it be that the Golden Knights brass was correct in replacing coach Gerard Gallant with Peter DeBoer? VGK has hot dice with seven wins in their last 10 games. The guys see a high scoring game here, but Cam urges caution for those considering Vegas. Over the total is their call.

Colorado Avalanche -157 at Los Angeles Kings

The once mighty and two-time Stanley Cup champion Kings are burning it to the ground. Colorado also has a revenge angle after losing to heavy underdog LA in the Stadium Series game last Saturday night. The guys have an interesting angle on this game. Listen now to The Hockey Betting Podcast to get the angle and the NHL pick.

Sunday, February 23, 2020 NHL Schedule and Picks

Pittsburgh Penguins at Washington Capitals (NBC)

It’s breakfast hockey in Vegas for this one, and Brian will take the home-standing Caps. He thinks Washington may be going on a heater after a bad slump.

Winnipeg Jets at Buffalo Sabres (TSN3)

Brian says the Sabres play their best hockey in home day games. Listen to today’s episode of The Hockey Betting Podcast for full analysis and NHL picks from the guys.

Chicago Blackhawks at Dallas Stars

Brian and Cam pass on this one.

San Jose Sharks at New York Islanders

Cam has a strong pick for this game. Get it now on The Hockey Betting Podcast.

Calgary Flames at Detroit Red Wings (SN)

Calgary will carry a big price, so the puck line is the way to go here according to Brian. Cam agrees.

St. Louis Blues at Minnesota Wild (NBCSN)

Cam has a strong pick for this Central Division showdown. You can get it now when you listen to The Hockey Betting Podcast.

Vegas Golden Knights at Anaheim Ducks (NBCSN)

The guys are thinking over the total with the likelihood that back-up Malcolm Subban will be between the pipes for Vegas.

Edmonton Oilers at Los Angeles Kings

Cam’s favourite play on the card is here, and he plans to “smash it.” Listen to The Hockey Betting Podcast for his top NHL pick of the weekend.

Monday, February 24, 2020 NHL Schedule and Picks

Ottawa Senators at Columbus Blue Jackets

Monday is trade deadline day and could loom large for this one.
